There’s no doubt that Sphere Las Vegas is one of the biggest attractions in the country right now. Touted as the world’s largest spherical structure, the electrified orb covered in a wraparound, high-resolution screen transforms into everything from a massive yellow emoji to a blinking eyeball, thanks to 1.2 million LEDs. It’s the perfect venue for a concert, and seeing it from different corners of town — including numerous hotels — is half the fun.

A show at the Sphere means you’ll need a place to stay, and Las Vegas has many options, from budget to blow-out. It depends on the vibe you're after: Do you want to stay close and walkable, in the middle of the action, or somewhere cheap?

Our list of hotels near the Sphere Las Vegas includes Strip favorites and some off-Strip options if you want the basics.

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and The Palazzo

These 10 best hotels near the Sphere Las Vegas are real showstoppers (2)The Palazzo at The Venetian is one of the closest hotels near the Sphere Las Vegas with great views — Photo courtesy of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

Because it's located behind The Venetian Resort and connected by a pedestrian bridge, this is one of the best hotels near the Sphere Las Vegas. Standard rooms at The Venetian are some of the largest on the Strip, and most on the resort's eastern side have the best views of the lit-up orb. If you request a room with a view of the Sphere, expect to pay an upgrade fee. The Palazzo at The Venetian also offers rooms with a view.

The Venetian is often the hub of concert-going activity. To complement Sphere band residencies, the resort may have extra exhibits, like The Dead Forever Experience, which is accessible to the public during the Dead & Co. shows. The Venetian also offers special hotel and show packages via Vibee.

Parking for the Sphere isn’t easy (or cheap), and an Uber from the venue can get messy on the way out. Many people opt to start and end their night at The Venetian and catch a ride share or taxi back to their hotel. Grab a bite before a show at places like Brera Osteria, Mott 32, Estiatorio Milos, Bouchon, and many more. After, late-night haunts like Noodle Asia are a draw. Or grab a drink at Rosina co*cktail Lounge to keep the groove going.

Wynn Las Vegas and Encore

Wynn Las Vegas sits directly across the street from the Sphere and offers some of the best views from the Strip. Like The Venetian, a pedestrian walkway connects directly to the resort. It’s a slightly longer walk than getting back to The Venetian, but it’s worth it for the luxurious rooms waiting for you at the night's end.

Most rooms with a view of the Sphere are at the Encore Resort, but you can also catch some stellar glimpses of the changing orb from the golf course. Imagine hitting your ball along the lush greens surrounded by rushing streams with a giant yellow emoji face watching over you. Some say the absolute best view of the Sphere is at the top of the Wynn’s self-park garage next to Encore.

Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa

The off-Strip Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa is the only casino-free, non-smoking option on our list. This is the hotel for you if you want a quieter experience — as quiet as Vegas can get, anyway. The best part is that it’s one of the closest hotels to the Sphere and is only about a 15-minute walk away.

Spend the day at the rooftop pool before or after a show, grab a bite at The Good Plate, or sip co*cktails at Maxim Lounge. Prior to an event at the Sphere, there are complimentary co*cktails and snacks in the lobby for pregaming. If you want one of the 250 rooms with a view of the Sphere, ask for something on the northern side of the building.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas

The newest hotel on the Strip, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, features a seriously luxe contemporary vibe. Many south-facing rooms offer great views of the Sphere (request them when making reservations or checking in). It’s a little farther from the venue (slightly more than 2 miles) but like no other in design and vibes.

Spend the day at the spa or pool, then dine at fantastic restaurants like Don’s Prime, Papi Steak, and the 12-seater Ito for omakase. A good pre-show option: Enjoy the Taste of Fountainbleau three-course menus at eight of the resort’s signature restaurants. After a show at the Sphere, the party’s still going at the gorgeous Bleau Bar in the middle of all the action.

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

Themed hotel rooms and a strong Elvis connection aren’t the only things going for the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. It also has rooms with fantastic views of the Sphere over the Wynn golf course. Pro tip: Ask for an even-numbered room in the East Tower with southern views at check-in.

An off-Strip hotel near the Sphere, the Westgate’s rooms are spacious, there’s lots of entertainment at the resort (Barry Manilow!), and the Edge Steakhouse for dinner. The monorail has a stop here, as well. The resort is about 1.4 miles from the Sphere, a good 30-minute trek on foot. Consider other transportation options if that’s too much.

Tuscany Suites & Casino

Slightly off-Strip, you can get to the Sphere from Tuscany Suites & Casino in about 20 minutes on foot. Many have made the hotel their headquarters during the Dead & Co. Sphere residency and opted to walk or take bicycle carts to the venue. (And by people, we mean about 5,000 Deadheads attending the Shakedown Vegas event daily.)

While the property faces the Sphere, it's only visible from the valet or the entrance; no Tuscany suites have direct views of the glowing ball. But many rooms face the center courtyard and lagoon pool, so it feels like a legit getaway.

The LINQ Hotel + Experience

The LINQ Hotel + Experience is full-on Vegas. From the futuristic casino to 21-and-over pools with life-sized games and beer pong, the High Roller Observation Wheel, and Himalayan salt cave therapy rooms in the spa, there is truly something for everyone.

The hotel is near the Sphere, about a mile away on foot, so walking is a good option if you don’t want to deal with Uber-ride madness before or after the show.

Caesars Palace

There are almost 4,000 rooms in five towers at Caesars Palace, plus the exclusive Nobu Hotel within the hotel. It’s iconic for a reason. Because it’s on the west side of the Strip, you’ll probably only get a view of the Sphere from top floors facing northeast. Still, it’s worth it for the enormous amount of food, shopping, casino, and nightlife options throughout the property.

To get to the Sphere from Caesars Palace, it’s about a mile on foot from the front entrance (if you walk along the LINQ Promenade). Remember to add the time it takes you to get from your room to the main entrance for the total distance; depending on your room location, it could be almost as long!
