Benefits of Detoxification (continued)1. The lack of poor nutrition and too many toxins impair your mental capacity. Detoxing is known to assist in developing coping strategies for stress. Healthy adrenals help the body, and mind cope, and deal with everyday stress without getting overwhelmed. Toxins are known to have an awful effect on our emotions leading to irritability, anxiety, depression and a decreased tolerance for stress. Detoxing the body can help you think more clearly, balance emotions, and dramatically reduce stress levels.2. Clearer Thinking and Mental AlertnessWhen toxins circulate through your body they inevitably reach the brain and your central nervous system. These toxins may leave you feeling lethargic and affect your ability to concentrate. A build-up of toxins can also lead to poor sleeping patterns, anxiety and depression. Detoxing the body has been proven to help with these symptoms, as well as improving your mental alertness.3. Healthier HairBy the time you can see your hair, it’s already considered dead, as all of its growth occurs within the hair follicle. This is why it’s important to keep your body functioning at its full potential. When your hair is able to grow uninhibited by internal toxins you’ll see and feel the difference in your hair. In many instances, hair gets shinier and feels softer to the touch. Many people have even reported that detoxing their body has helped their hair grows more quickly, which is a great sign of healthier hair.4. Better BreathIt’s been theorized that one contributor to bad breath is a backed-up colon. During a detox, you are able to clear out the toxins in your colon and get your digestive system functioning well again. As a result, your breath may see a natural improvement over the coming weeks. Keep in mind, however, that your breathmay worsen while the toxins are being released. This is natural and will improve once you are finished with your detox.5. Improved Sense of Well-BeingDetoxing provides an improved sense of well-being, and it is a great way to introduce a change in your lifestyle for the better. When you detox, you feel good, and when you feel good, good things happen. Whatever your reason for starting a detox diet, whether it is losing weight or lowering stress, it is important to keep the positive changes long after the detox program is over. Sticking to an improved diet and getting daily exercise are great ways to make sure that you feel good each moment of your life.

I’m absolutely loving seeing the signs of spring! 🤩 🌷 Anyone else noticed how light it is before 7am! 🙌🏼The signs of new life and the new energy that comes with that is just 👌🏼Spring is popular time amongst my clients to embark on a mindbody detox (and with myself too). Stepping into the new season feeling their most energetic, re-vitalised and healthiest version of themselves to support the momentum the year is building for them! You may hear the word detox and think of dodgy tummies and skinny teas?? 👀 🤢💩Detoxing couldn’t be further from this. Detoxing is a process that the body is designed to carry out and is fully equipped to do so, every second of every day (incredible right!) Its a process in which your body eliminates anything that may be toxic, harmful and damaging to your health. However, daily lifestyle choices, high stress levels and poor diet have a detrimental impact on the body’s ability to do this! And that’s where you begin to experience symptoms such as low mood, headaches, poor sleep, skin issues, tummy issues, hormone imbalances, indigestion, sinus congestion, inflammation (and so much more) By embarking on a detox, you’re connecting with your body, supporting it to do the job it’s designed to do and will absolutely reap the rewards! 🙌🏼Renewed and sustainable energy, renewed motivation, more confidence, stable mood can all be enjoyed following a detox. I wrote an article for Brand You Magazine sharing my top tips for a successful detox. I’ve given the article a quick break down here! 🔹Mopping up the gut and colon of nasties is the 1st place you start before embarking on any programme. 🔹You can’t starve your way through a detox. Eating an abundance of nutrients is a must!🔹Supporting the liver is a non negotiable. 🔹A positive detox mindset will change your experience entirely.🔹Making stress management a priority will change the trajectory of your health and your body’s ability to process and eliminate toxins. I have the joy and pleasure of seeing how a professionally designed and fully sorted mindbody detox programme has an incredible impact on my clients, and how their new sustainable energy levels gets transferred and fed into their business and more importantly their home and family life. ❤️I’m curious though, what are your thoughts and associations around detoxing? Would you say it’s more positive or negative?

7 NATURAL REMEDIES FOR CALMING ANXIETYI get it. Anxiety is like an unwelcome visitor in our lives, often showing up unannounced and overstaying its welcome. It manifests in various forms, from mild unease to debilitating panic, affecting our overall well-being. While it may be tempting to turn to alcohol, drugs, food, or shopping to relieve stress, those self-sabotaging habits ultimately exacerbate stress.Research indicates that most feelings of anxiety stem from focusing on what we DON’T want. Chronic worrying about the future or ruminating on mistakes of the past robs our wellbeing in the present moment. While it’s normal and natural to have occasional doubts and fears, excessive focus on these negative thoughts can lead to a cycle of anxiety that is hard to break. This constant preoccupation with potential problems and past errors creates a state of perpetual hypervigilance in the body, preventing us from fully enjoying and engaging with the present. It's important to practice shifting our focus towards what we DO want, keeping a positive and mindful approach to life…AND…Knowing and doing are two different things…I realize that shifting your mindset is often easier said than done. Once your body gets accustomed to being in a heightened stress response as a baseline, calming the nervous system becomes a priority. While mindfulness practices are helpful, shifting your energy with calming herbs and supplements can make it easier to be receptive to refocusing your mind. Herbal remedies and supplements can provide welcome relief in the form of physiological support in managing anxiety. Here are my favorite supplements — my “go to” remedies to calm my nervous system. Note that I am not a physician, and I am sharing this information for educational purposes. This is what I do, personally, but it may not be right for you. Always check with your doctor to make sure there are no contraindications with your current medication regimen before taking any supplements. Get the full list here: https://lnkd.in/gYnxJG-A

In case you were wondering: ❌It is not normal to be constantly overwhelmed. ❌It is not normal to be permanently exhausted physicaly and mentally.❌It is not normal to eat for nourishment sake only.❌It is not normal to not have a regular exercise routine. ❌It is not normal to sit for 10 hours a day. ❌It is not normal to suffer from back and neck pain.❌It is not normal to not be able to hold your breath at least 30 seconds. ❌It is not normal to wake up feeling drained. ❌None of these things are normal. If any of these apply to you, it's time to take stock and make some changes. Start by considering the following: ✅Are you hydrating first thing in the morning, before your morning coffee? ✅Are you starting your day with a protein-filled breakfast and limiting complex carbs? ✅Do you even know the difference between simple and complex carbs and their impact on stress?✅Have you scheduled time for exercise and movement in your daily routine?✅Do you know that meal prep allow for better portion control, save time and reduce chronic stress? ✅Do you take regular breaks during the day to move, breathe in control or just go for a walk? ✅ If I tell you than 30 grs, or about one square, of 70 to 85 percent dark chocolate provides 64.6 mg of bio-available magnesium, would you beleive me?✅ Do you realize that conscious breathing allows activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, lowered blood pressure and reduced levels of stress hormones in the blood.✅Do you pack your meals with natural antioxidants like Polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamin Carotenoids so you don’t need any supplements? ✅Do you limit your caffeine or tea intake after 3 pm? ✅Do you have a morning / bedtime routine? There are many small things you can change to improve your overall health, boost hormones production and reduce stress.Start small, and remember that you don't have to do everything at once. I understand that knowing what to do is one thing, but executing it is another. It's okay to struggle with the execution. If it were easy, I wouldn't have a job. ⚡️If you're an Executive grappling with emotional turmoil and relentless stress, it's time to prioritize your well-being.💻I offer a 60-minute consultation call designed exclusively for professionals like you.During our call, I will assess your current situation and craft a customized roadmap, making it easy for you to conquer stress and achieve lasting success in your high-pressure career. Rachel’s Reviving Remedies 2024I am on a panel at ISE in a couple of weeks discussing mental health in the workplace. Although not an expert in this field, there is much written on the subject and I aim to share my findings with you. Our responses to a situation depend on the context of what is happening. If the situation is traumatic the surrounding narrative should be shared with those you trust or written down. Internalising the trauma will prolong the shame and the blame we all attach to it.You have to start somewhere and you may be surprised by what my list consists of but it is all backed up by expert research, if you wish, head to my website where there is more being added to the subject: https://have-harmony.uk. I also recognise we have to live our lives in our own way and this is just a guide to help us improve our mental state and longevity. On awakening Write down how you feel, anything you need to make a note of left over from the day before or to follow up, what you are going to do today. Be curious about yourself, be kind to yourself and like what you see. If you meet someone wish them good morning, strike up a conversation or at least smile.Good quality nutrition, how much you eat and when you eat is essential for brain function and a healthy body.Cut out ultra-processed foods completely.Boost your gut biome and include amino acids, and protein, at least 30 different fruits and vegetables per week, and omega-3 fatty acids.Introduce fermented foods.Arrange a time of fasting every day. After 40 years of age, you reduce muscle mass, speed and power so exercise is essential for a healthy body and mind and longevity.10,000 steps is a good target to aim for per day.Add 180 to 200 minutes of Zone 2 cardio per week.Plus VO2 max (intense aerobic exercise) at least once weekly. We are sociable mammals and regular social interaction can impart many emotions to lift mood and happiness and increase metabolic rate and neural output.Stress happens to all of us and there are tools to help manage and alleviate acute and medium-term stress. For long-term stress or at any point where you feel you cannot cope, seek qualified medical help.Try having 6 to 8 hours of the best possible sleep per night (no phones allowed). This should be in a darkened bedroom. Go to bed and arise within 1 hour of your sleep routine to form a habit and enhance your circadian rhythm.See you all there!
